John Baillie is the Chairman of Seneca Financial Solutions and one of the firm’s founding directors. He brings over two decades of experience in financial services, investment advisory, and corporate governance to his roles at Seneca and across the broader Australian business community. Prior to co-founding Seneca in 2016, John spent many years advising high-net-worth families and private businesses on investment strategy, capital management and succession planning. His background spans portfolio management, private equity capital raisings, and strategic advisory across a diverse range of industries, including financial services, consumer goods and technology. In addition to his role at Seneca, John serves as an Independent Non-Executive Director of WAM Alternative Assets Limited and holds leadership roles with other private companies. He is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and holds a Graduate Diploma in Finance from the Securities Institute of Australia. In his role as Chairman, John provides strategic oversight and governance support for the firm, helping ensure that Seneca’s investment and advice framework remains aligned with client needs and industry best practice.
